Mylah's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Here is an easy recipe for the best cookies in the kitchen: Let 2 sticks of unwrapped butter come to room temperature in a large bowl. Then mix in 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar, 2 eggs (without shells), 1 teaspoon hot water, and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Separately mix together one and a half (1.5) cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and sti
r well. Then add in semi-sweet chocolate chips (either 2 small bags, or 1 larger bag), and 2 cups (or a little more) of quick-cooking oatmeal, and finally 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional, of course). After stirring it all together well, use two common tablespoons: one to scoop out a golfball sized chunk of (tasty & edible) dough, and another spoon to push it off onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes until golden brownish. Enjoy with milk!

Yes We Kenya

The letters in "PRESIDENT OBAMA"
can all be re-arranged to spell:
"BAD PERMEATIONS".
Why not pass a law, only allowing the stock market to go up? Why not raise the minimum wage to $30/hour? Why not end term limits for a president? Why not replace Big Business with Big Government? Why not? In Obama We Trust? Why not? Just show us your valid birth certificate. Why not?

H B 2 U

SMiles: On behalf of U2 & The World, we toast 2 your tireless work U do as MB© CO (community organizer) 2 help save the planet from CO (carbon monoxide). --Bono

CogStar: Every family needs at least 1 Star. In your case, there are multiple. Shine on & shine forever.
--The Edge

Hey Dutch. Happy 42nd! Now you're twice the drinking age in America (and 3x the drinking age in Dublin). As MB© Historian, U know it was me that posted the "Musicians Wanted" ad that got this whole thing started. I hear U played some drums back in skool. Cool. --Larry Mullen

S4: We hope U like the sound of all the tracks on our new CD (expecially the bass). The release date of March 3rd, along with five straight nights on Letterman, is no coincidence. H B 2 U! --Adam

As the MB© TA (Travel Agent), we encourage U2 keep on keepin' on, just as U did when U had 2 leave 1 of our concerts just before it started. All's well that ends well.

Now, you can think of "No Line On The Horizon" every time you look out your West windows.

Happy Birthday 2U!

Dizzy Spells

After looking at these coffee beans, do you feel faint?
As if about to pass out? Any hint of cerebral dizziness?
This could be from low blood pressure, low blood sugar, or poor oxygen supply. Low blood pressure often causes faintness. If you suddenly stand up, expecially(*) if you have been lying down for some time, this could cause a dizzy spell. Low blood sugar could cause faintness or dizziness to occur and could be caused by missing a meal, or if you eat sweet things all the time, but now have missed a snack, or if you have exercised hard and burned up the sugar in the blood. Ear disease could cause dizziness since balance is sensed by the inner ear. Any disturbance of this may cause Vertigo: a symptom described as “the world going round”. Hyperventilation can certainly cause dizzy spells. In this case, there is often a feeling of being spaced out and “not with it”.
(*) expecially = extra especially

Do's and Don'ts
Since we're in the Northern Hemisphere,
let's begin with the Don'ts:
Don't think you can change other people.
Don't leave burning candles unattended.
Don't say Yes when you should say No.
Don't say No when you should say Yes.
Don't pull the trigger until you're on it.
Don't expect the other driver to yield.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Don't stare at prisoners or ex-cons.
Don't ever try to run from a bear.
Don't take snow for an answer.
Don't assume you'll remember.
Don't leave fun to find fun.
Don't drink beer at work.
Don't lock yourself out.
Don't worry too much.
Don't go to Pakistan.
And now, on a more positive note, the Do's:
Say nice things when you think them.
Prevent accidents waiting to happen.
Give your home a two-syllable name.
Jot down your list of do's and don'ts.
Have dimmers to control your lights.
Plan your work and work your plan.
Answer a question with a question.*
Cook at home and try new recipes.
When in doubt, communicate.
Put up some twinkly lights.
Appreciate what you have.
Arrive early to the airport.
Avoid negative people.
Write add-on poems.
Send postcards.
Take vacations.
Recycle.

Ramble On Now
It's time I was on my way
Thanks to you I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
But now it's time for me to go
The autumn moon lights my way
For now I smell the rain and with it pain
And it's headed my way
Sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I got to do

Ramble on
And now's the time the time is now
To sing my song
I'm going around the world
I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
Got no time to for spreading roots
The time has come to be gone
And though our health we drank a thousand times
It's time to ramble on
Ramble on
And now's the time the time is now
To sing my song
I'm going around the world
I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
I ain't telling no lie
Mine's a tale that can't be told
My freedom I hold dear
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air
It was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her
Ain't nothing I can do no
I guess I'll keep on rambling
I'm gonna shake
Gonna ramble on
Sing my song
Gonna work my way around the world
I can't stop this feeling in my heart
Gotta keep searching for my baby

Forever Blue
Her name was Sandy Beach. I remember it well
Like the smell of hibiscus mixed with beer

Sit next to me now and talk of times yon barley voo
When palm trees swayed with my heart
Dancing family in ocean waves watching out for
Sun burned shoulders shrugging to the world
Park in the shade, you got it made, at least while
The sun hangs above Forever Blue like youth

Baby whales let's set our sail toward the sunset
Cruising on eternal undulation, loosening our
Attitude toward daily activity, change of pace, try to
Soak up enough Aloha to calm your future
Today we brunch together as condo-mates with our
Backs against the possible tsunami
Spiraling down stairs flowing water with fish saying
Humu humu nuku nuku apua'a, which means
We feel your pain, think again, paddle your canoe
Until you reach God Kane who tells you what to do
God Kane believes Miles Brothers Corp on right path

Do not defy him, or you will feel his wrath
In the end, after the volcano sputters into the night
We pack up our bags and prepare for our flight.
