Mylah's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Here is an easy recipe for the best cookies in the kitchen: Let 2 sticks of unwrapped butter come to room temperature in a large bowl. Then mix in 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar, 2 eggs (without shells), 1 teaspoon hot water, and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Separately mix together one and a half (1.5) cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir well. Then add in semi-sweet chocolate chips (either 2 small bags, or 1 larger bag), and 2 cups (or a little more) of quick-cooking oatmeal, and finally 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional, of course). After stirring it all together well, use two common tablespoons: one to scoop out a golfball sized chunk of (tasty & edible) dough, and another spoon to push it off onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes until golden brownish. Enjoy with milk!
