Kit and I just got new cell phones! We've now finally entered the world of texting. We had texting capability with our older phones, but texting on a number pad is so slow. We each now have the Kyocera Brio (with the full keyboard) on the major recommendation of Brother Scott. Thank you, Scotty. Thank you, Sprint. Thank you, Kyocera. Thank you, Blogger.

Gateway to the Wild West

As you drive through Fargo on I-94, you're bound to see this arched walk-way. Some people call it an over-walk, some call it the Fargo Arch and some call it the Gateway to the West**. Whatever you want to call it, it needs some twinkly lights or something to really make it look great at night. (Click on the picture to see it in its full glory.)
**Some say that St. Louis copied the idea of Fargo's Archway for their larger version.

Scenic Fargo

Fargo, North Dakota was recently voted one of the most scenic cities in the country. Vistas like this overpass show why. This photo was snapped on eastbound I-94 at the tri-level overpass. Q: Were you driving while you took this picture? A: No, I was being driven by my driver, but thanks for axing. (Click on picture to zoom in.)

Google Shutting Down Picnik

Early on this Sunday morn, I sit down to my computer only to learn that Google is shutting down Picnik.com on April 19, 2012. Thanks for the heads-up warning but it is still devastating news. Reading some online comments, I think a google of users wish that Google would kindly reconsider shutting down this great website. Picnik is such a wonderful stand-alone website for working with pictures. I hope April 19, 2012 never comes. Google have mercy.

Our Internet Cafe

We have our internet access in the dining room where a second new computer was recently added to our older one. Now it feels like our very own little Internet Cafe. Above the dining room table hangs this fixture (shown above). It's always nice to have a dimmer switch to control your lights. I wonder if dimmer switches will work with those new compact fluorescent lights (mandated by our government)?

Yard Art

Happy 2012! We finally got some snow in Fargo. I shovelled our whole driveway and put it all in one spot. It was that nice sticky snow. There were already a few snowmen in the area. So, I made a nice little pile and put a rock on top. We thought it kind of looked like a DQ ice cream sunday. Now we call it a Donkervoort, especially since I added a string of cream-colored rope lights going around the whole thing. We hope to have more Donkervoorts if we get more good snow.
