Forever Blue
Her name was Sandy Beach. I remember it well
Like the smell of hibiscus mixed with beer
Sit next to me now and talk of times yon barley voo
When palm trees swayed with my heart
Dancing family in ocean waves watching out for
Sun burned shoulders shrugging to the world
Park in the shade, you got it made, at least while
The sun hangs above Forever Blue like youth
Baby whales let's set our sail toward the sunset
Cruising on eternal undulation, loosening our
Attitude toward daily activity, change of pace, try to
Soak up enough Aloha to calm your future
Today we brunch together as condo-mates with our
Backs against the possible tsunami
Spiraling down stairs flowing water with fish saying
Humu humu nuku nuku apua'a, which means
We feel your pain, think again, paddle your canoe
Until you reach God Kane who tells you what to do
God Kane believes Miles Brothers Corp on right path
Do not defy him, or you will feel his wrath
In the end, after the volcano sputters into the night
We pack up our bags and prepare for our flight.
